Always With You - Linzi Mckay

I wrote this poem recently after the recent and unexpected loss of my children's Nanny, who was a huge part of our lives. I wrote it for my children to put with memories and photos that we have to create a book. I wanted them to know that she will always be there, as she is in our memories, our hearts, and our souls. Hopefully it will provide comfort to others too.

Always With You

Look to the clouds,

you'll see me there.

Listen to the birds,

singing songs so rare.

Look to the stars,

you'll see me shine.

You'll feel the connection,

yours and mine.

Touch your heart,

you'll feel my love.

I'm sending it to you,

from the skies above.

Though our time was cut short,

we made so many amazing memories.

Think of me when you are by the sea,

or when you feel a gentle breeze.

Although you can no longer see me,

please know that I am always there.

Watching over you,

as I always have,

feeling the love

that we will always share.
